1. Spring Temple Buddha

It is the tallest statue in the world and is located in the Zhaocun township of Lushan County, Henan, China. The statue depicts Vairocana Buddha and is 128 meters high with a weight of over 1000 tonnes. It is made out of bronze and gets its name from the nearby Tianrui hot springs.

 

2. Laykyun Setkyar

It is the second tallest statue in the world and is situated in Khatakan Taung village in Monywa, Sagaing Division, Myanmar. Monywa lies in the heart of the Chindwin Valley and 136 km northwest of Mandalay.

3. Ushiku Daibutsu
It is the third tallest statue in the world and is located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Ushiku Daibutsu is also called Ushiku Arcadia.
 The statue was completed in 1995 and it stands a total of 120 meters tall, including the 10m high base and 10m high lotus platform. The statue has a elevator inside it which takes the visitors up to 85m off the ground, where an observation floor is located. It depicts Amitabha

4. Guanyin Statue

It is also known by the name Guan Yin of the South Sea of Sanya and is the fourth highest statue in the world. The statue is located in the Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone on the south coast of China’s island province of Hainan. The Guanyin Statue of Hainan has a height of 108 meters.
The statue has three sides, one facing the island and the other two face the South China Sea. It took six years to build the statue and was enshrined on 24th April 2005 and the ceremony was attended by 108 eminent monks from various Buddhist groups in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China.
Also present in the ceremony were over tens of thousands of pilgrims and monk delegations from the Theravada and Vajrayana traditions.

5. Grand Buddha at Ling Shan
It is located at the south of the Longshan Mountain near Mashan town of Wuxi in Jiangsu Province of China. It is a famous tourist attraction along with the nearby historic Xiangfu Temple, a thousand-year old Buddhism temple.
The bronze statue was commissioned in 1996 and has a height of 88 meters.
